Featured update

A new chapter for Nottingham & Nottinghamshire MNVP

Following a recent change in leadership, we are focused on strengthening the visibility, reach and impact of the MNVP across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Over the coming months we will be developing new relationships with communities, increasing opportunities for families to share their experiences and creating clearer routes for people to see how their feedback influences maternity and neonatal services.

Current priorities

Where we are focusing our energy right now.

Responding to the Ockenden Review

We are committed to ensuring family voices contribute meaningfully to local learning, accountability and improvement following the Ockenden Review.

This work spans Nottingham University Hospitals, Sherwood Forest Hospitals and community and neonatal services across the county.

Supporting Families Across Nottinghamshire

We work alongside all families across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to make sure lived experience shapes safer, kinder and more inclusive maternity and neonatal care.

This includes families affected by trauma, harm, loss and inequalities in care, whose experiences continue to inform learning and improvement.

Building a Stronger MNVP

We are strengthening the MNVP so it is visible, trusted and accessible across all communities, services and maternity pathways, from NUH and Sherwood Forest to community midwifery and neonatal care.

Featured priority

Expanding our reach into underserved communities

One of our key priorities for the coming year is ensuring that the experiences of people facing the greatest inequalities are heard and acted upon.

We are developing new partnerships with community organisations, grassroots groups and local leaders to help us better understand the experiences of families across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Community engagement

Could we visit your community group?

We are actively looking to connect with organisations supporting families and communities across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Whether you run a parent group, community centre, faith organisation, support service, grassroots project, or a bereavement or harmed-families support network, we would love to explore opportunities to listen and learn from the people you support.
